dreamscape
n. a dreamlike musical sequence, characterized
by the disappearance of definite time signature
and introduction of drawn out orchestration,
which creates - in effect - a palace of white,
a transition to another clime, pennants of red
and yellow fly but no one is within miles to
see them rise to the wind, exhale to the
resoundance of...

at the edge, i blinked, crying, but unable to
speak.  what is there to see?  nothing; days,
sunlight, roads.  clear your mind, breathe the
environment, the neutral ambience.  from here,
all is interpretive, answers lie where the
sun claims them to lie, but the dreams of
others bend you to the world, always.  dark
night, glass on the sidewalk, thousands of
cigarettes buried in the train tracks, the
cash up front, the smiles that burn, broken
promises, just one incision and you will
return to us again.  there i was told that all
is broken in our interpretive world; the
truths we love and understand are broken; the
gears do not turn.  if i could know where that
other place is, i would give my life and every
day i've ever loved, même mon âme, to return
to there.  mercury vapor orange, taillights
waiting and waiting and waiting, missing kitten
poster stapled and torn, leaves on the
sidewalk, realism in the lines, in the sorrel
glass bottles scattered through an indifferent
imagination.  in a dream, everything caught on the
morning and turned, on fossil wings, to reclaim
the sky.  changeless sky of a changeless place,
all in white, a heaven born free of illusion,
with the end of the flaw an ageless crayon-
drawn field, escape the biology, the loop of
neuron signals, and dream clearly of a day,
a day dream, dream sequence, dreamscape.  n.
